How Morbid am I, Really?

So, over the weekend one of Washington University's most generous donors threw himself off of a bridge in St. Charles County. His body has not yet been found, so his official status is "missing/presumed deceased."

The very first thing I did when I came into the office this morning was to look at his gift record and see if he had any outstanding pledges or bequests which would benefit my particular program.

I feel dirty.

Also disappointed, because it turns out he doesn't.
